What you can do with Antidote

Results with a source behind them

Results brings together search and website reports from your connected Google accounts. You can see how people find your pages and what happens after a visit, alongside the work you publish.

See how people find you

Search Console shows how pages appear in search and which queries bring clicks. Read the query, page and dates together when considering a change. A page seen often but clicked rarely may deserve a closer look at its title. The report helps you choose what to investigate next.

Look at visits separately

Google Analytics helps you inspect visits and engagement after someone reaches your website. A page with visits but little engagement raises a different question from a page rarely found in search. Check the page and tracking setup before blaming the copy. Compare the same dates when reading the reports together.

What the figures can tell you

The team needs access to the right Search Console site and Analytics account. An empty report may mean missing access, so check before reading it as zero traffic. These reports cannot prove that an article caused a sale. Analytics can only report the events your website actually collects.

Common questions

Do we need to connect our Google accounts?

Yes. The team needs access to the relevant Search Console site and Analytics account.

Are clicks and sessions the same thing?

No. Search Console counts search clicks; Analytics measures visits on your site.

Can you prove a post caused a sale?

These reports alone cannot prove that. They help you inspect search activity and measured website behaviour.
